Michael's 2nd release after his version of 'The Yellow Rose Of Texas', 'Sixteen Tons' was another cover and never stood a chance against the #1 version by Ernie Ford or the #10 recording by Frankie Laine, Edmund Hockridge also reached #10 with 'Young And Foolish', the B side was yet another version of 'Sixteen Tons'.
Michael had to wait for his next release 'Nothing To Do' to reach the UK charts.
