[Electro Funk/Funk/RnB/R&B/Electronic/Soul/Electro] Here is Gee Bello with his self titled first album: \"Gee Bello\". This album has a unique story to how it got released and quite frankly i'm glad that it did because a lot of the songs on this album are DOPE! For starters Gee Bello is a Singer, Songwriter, Producer, and Percussionist, while also an Entertainer on the Club doing the Corporate & Private entertainment circuit. His real name is Ganiyu Bello and he was born and raised in the United Kingdom. His father was a drummer and came from West Africa, Nigeria and his mother is of English descent. The translation of his first name \"Ganiyu\" actually means Communicator which is kind of fitting due to his potential career path that he has made. Through the years he was a long standing member of the group Light Of The World and later was the driving force behind the short-lived \"Call Me\" by Mighty 7, recorded in the U.K. back in 1984. This album never got released in the UK and it is due to his ambitions to record his music in the states and an odd record label management switch. When Bello arrived in Los Angeles he had some songs on this album already written while in the UK, other songs on this album were purely rough ideas that he developed into songs with some of the producers. Interesting enough that \"Save Your Love\" (Track 6) was especially written for Bello by Oliver Scott of The Gap Band. Not to mention that song is the most well known song on the album. Ironically this album was only available on U.S import via Capitol Records in the united states but it's still credited with the EMI stamp. Today, Gee and his band were at one time the support act for Lionel Richie at Hyde Park in London. He is also labeled as being one of the UK’s top soul singers and is of popular demand. He regularly performs his soul classic’s show or a tribute to Errol Brown of (Hot Chocolate) at many of the Warner Hotels, Butlins holiday parks & Thompson’s international overseas resorts. This album was released under EMI Records '85.
