We turn to our second page of Dungeon Synth Sunday this week, and feature the full Torches Behind The Waterfall album we previewed a few weeks ago. This is the most recent full-length from our friend Rashid Abdel Ghafur and his band of experimental avant garde blackened metal, Zebulon Kosted. Even those genre signposts cannot point in the precise directions this project takes, as it forges a unique trail through challenging terrain, smudging its wake through the wilderness.
Combining acoustic doom with dark ambient, this is another album in a long lineage of arresting experimentation, making this band a hard act to follow, to pinpoint, yet one which exudes definitive character.
